D.M. Aderibigbe was born in Nigeria. He graduated with a BA in History and Strategic Studies from the University of Lagos in 2014. His chapbook, In Praise of Our Absent Father, was selected for the APBF New Generation African Poets Chapbook Series selection. A 2017 OMI Fellow at OMI House in Ledig, he has received fellowships and honors from Ucross Foundation, Jentel Foundation, Dickinson House, Callaloo and Boston University where he recently finished his MFA in creative writing, and also received a Robert Pinsky Global Fellowship. His first full-length manuscript was a 2015 and 2016 finalist for the Sillerman First Book Prize for African Poets. He’s published widely in literary journals around the world and in 2017 received a Pushcart Prize Special Mention.
