Jordan Jacks is a writer from Texas. His fiction has appeared in The Iowa Review, The Yale Review, Weekday, Territory, and The Organist, the podcast from McSweeney’s/KCRW.
Jacks was the 2015-2016 James C. McCreight Fellow in Fiction at The Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing. He was also the 33rd Writer in Residence at St. Albans School (2014-15) and the Junior Writer in Residence at Washington University in St. Louis (2012-2013). He has been awarded scholarships from Bread Loaf and The Sewanee Writers’ Conference, and in 2016 won the Marianne C. Russo Emerging Writer Award from the Key West Literary Seminar.
A graduate of Yale University and the M.F.A. program at Washington University in St. Louis, he lives in Madison, Wisconsin, where he is finishing his first novel and a collection of stories.
