Suzanne Rivecca

Suzanne Rivecca is the author of Death is Not an Option: Stories (W.W. Norton 2010), which won the Rome Prize in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and was a finalist for The Story Prize, the PEN/Hemingway Award, the Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award, and The New York Public Library Young Lions Award. She has been a National Endowment for the Arts fellow as well as a Stegner fellow at Stanford and Creative Arts fellow at Radcliffe. Her stories have won two Pushcart Prizes and have been anthologized in Best American Short Stories. Currently, she is working on new fiction and nonfiction that is drawn from her work in San Francisco’s nonprofit homeless-services sector.
