About the event
Join us in the Merrill Apartment for a reading by returning Merrill Fellow, Kamran Javadizadeh. Kamran is an associate professor of English at Villanova University, where he works on the history of poetry and poetics. He is the author of Institutionalized Lyric: American Poetry at Midcentury (forthcoming, Oxford UP) and of essays that have appeared or are forthcoming in The New Yorker, The New York Review of Books, and The Point. His scholarship has appeared in the journals PMLA, Modernism/modernity, Arizona Quarterly, and in several edited anthologies. At present, he’s writing a book about poetry, his family’s history, and the Iranian diaspora. Please note there is limited capacity, the event is on the third floor, only accessible by stairs and RSVP REQUIRED.
